Flood Advisory issued September 2 at 3:12PM MST until September 2 at 4:30PM MST by NWS Tucson AZ
AREAS AFFECTED: Pima, AZ
DESCRIPTION: * WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of South Central Arizona, including the following county, central Pima. * WHEN...Until 430 PM MST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry washes. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 312 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Murk Kui Wash, Sikul Himatk Wash, Quijotoa Wash, San Luis Wash, Sells Wash, Pan Wash, Santa Rosa Wash, San Simon Wash and Ko Vaya Wash. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.25 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Sells, Covered Wells, No:ligk, Cababi, San Luis - Sells District, Mountain Village, Rincon and Sikul Himathk. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
INSTRUCTION: Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain. Washes, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.

The final form taken by a growing cumulus cloud is the
cumulonimbus cloud, which is very tall and dense.
The tower of a cumulonimbus cloud can soar 23 km into the atmosphere, although
most commonly they stop growing at an altitude of 6 km.
Even small cumulonimbus clouds appear very large in comparison to other cloud types.
They can signal the approach of stormy weather, such as thunderstorms or blizzards.

Drizzle is precipitation in the form of water droplets which are
smaller than raindrops.
Drizzle is characterized by fine, gently falling droplets and typically does not
impact human habitation in a negative way. The exception to this is freezing drizzle,
a condition where drizzle freezes immediately upon reaching earth's surface.
Freezing drizzle is still less dangerous than freezing rain, but can
potentially result in hazardous road conditions.
